OverEngineered Solutions · proposal for Lubbock Pressure Washing

What is wrong with lubbockpressurewashing.com, and what we would build instead

We pulled the live site apart on 9 Sep 2026: every page, the DNS, the hosting stack, the search tags. Below is what we found, ordered by how much it costs you in phone calls, then three replacement sites you can click through on your phone right now.

6 of 12page loads that failed outright in our test
0photos on the homepage (you have 20 good ones)
3H1 headings on one page, plus a broken title tag
2navigation menus with different labels

Findings

Red is losing you customers today. Orange hurts search or trust. Grey is housekeeping.

Reliability Half of your visitors may not reach the site at all

Your domain answers with two server addresses. One is GoDaddy and serves the site. The other is a Google Cloud address, almost certainly a leftover Replit experiment, and it accepts the connection then drops it before the page loads. We loaded the homepage 12 times from a normal connection. 6 succeeded, 6 failed. A visitor who hits the dead address sees a browser error, not a slow page.

$ dig lubbockpressurewashing.com A 160.153.0.55 → GoDaddy, serves the site 34.111.179.208 → connects, then "SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL" — page never loads 12 fetches: ok=6 fail=6

There is also a leftover replit-verify record in DNS. Someone started a rebuild there and never cleaned up. Fix is one DNS change and we can do it the day you give us access.

Search Your Google result title is literally broken

The text Google shows as your page title contains HTML code that was pasted into the SEO title field. The meta description has the same problem. This is the first thing a searcher sees, and it reads as a typo.

<title>title>Pressure Washing & Parking Lot Striping in Lubbock</title>) – Exceptional Pressure Washing Services in Lubbock Texas</title>

Trust Corrupted testimonial, typos, and placeholder text on the live page

The second testimonial on the homepage contains stray Chinese characters mid-sentence. "Clients" is spelled "CLEINTS" in the insurance line. The contact form's fallback address is your-email@example.com. The footer says © 2025 in one place and © 2026 in another. Small things, but a property manager comparing three quotes notices them.

"Perfect parking lot striping and fast的可 construction clean-up—highly recommend!" TO MEET NATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND GIVE OUR CLEINTS PEACE OF MIND <form action="mailto:your-email@example.com">

Design No photos, and the first thing on a phone is an email signup

You have 20 strong job photos on the Results page. None of them appear on the homepage. The homepage hero is text. On a phone, after the logo and phone number, the first screen is a "Yes, eMail me your current special offer" box. The person who found you on Google wants to see your work and tap to call. The site makes them scroll past a newsletter form to find either.

The homepage also has an empty "Our Location" box (the map never loads) and a red weather widget from OpenWeatherMap that shows nothing.

Search Nothing tells Google you are a Lubbock business

No LocalBusiness structured data, no Open Graph tags, three H1 headings on the homepage, and the 20 result photos have no alt text or captions. Google cannot tell "IMG_8413" is a pressure-washed patio in Lubbock. A local-services site lives or dies on these.

Design Two navigation menus that disagree

The top bar says Why Choose us · Our Results · Services · About us · Contact us. Inside the page a second red menu says Home · Services · About Us · Testimonials · Contact. Two of those links go nowhere useful. Services are listed with asterisks as bullets.

Trust Contact and offer forms post to third parties, one of them unencrypted

The "special offer" box sends names and emails to AWeber over plain http://. The contact form falls back to a placeholder mailto. Neither reaches you in a way you can track. A quote request should land in your inbox, and the customer should get a confirmation.

Hosting WordPress, Elementor, and three plugins to babysit, for seven pages

The site runs WordPress 7.0.4 on GoDaddy managed hosting with the Elementor page builder, GeneratePress Pro, and a before/after slider plugin that is not actually used on the homepage. That is a stack that needs updates, breaks on updates, and exposes xmlrpc.php to the internet. A seven-page brochure site does not need any of it. Page weight is fine at about 0.2 MB, so speed is not the problem. Maintenance and fragility are.

Email You appear to pay GoDaddy for email you do not use

DNS has GoDaddy mail records (secureserver.net), but the site tells customers to write to Lubbockpw@gmail.com. Either you are paying for a mailbox nobody checks, or it was never set up. We can put you on brenton@lubbockpressurewashing.com properly.

How the new sites work better for you

One job: make the phone ring

  • A call button pinned to the bottom of every phone screen. One tap, no scrolling.
  • Your best before/after shot is the first thing on the page, with a slider they can drag.
  • Quote form goes to your inbox and the customer gets an instant confirmation. No AWeber, no placeholder.

Built to rank in Lubbock

  • LocalBusiness structured data with your name, address, phone, hours, and service area.
  • One page per service, each targeting a real search: "dumpster pad cleaning Lubbock", "parking lot striping Lubbock".
  • Every photo captioned and alt-tagged. Clean title and description on every page.
  • We set up or tidy your Google Business Profile, which is where most local calls come from.

Nothing to babysit

  • Plain HTML. No WordPress, no plugins, no updates, nothing to hack.
  • Hosted on infrastructure we run, with nightly off-site backups on a second provider.
  • A production tier with two servers in two regions is available if you want the site to survive a data-center outage.

Hassle-free, and yours

  • Domain registered in your name, we manage the DNS. You can never be held hostage, including by us.
  • Real email at your own domain, on your phone, with Gmail forwarding if you want to keep the old address alive.
  • Photo or service changes: text us, they are live the same day.

Three proposed sites

Open these on your phone. They are working mockups built from your own photos and copy, not templates. Names, colors, and wording are all up for grabs.

Freshly washed garden center concrete at night

1. Lubbock Pressure Washing

The replacement for the current site. Commercial first: dumpster pads, drive-thrus, storefronts, fire lanes, construction clean-up. A residential section with the patio and pool-deck before/afters.

2. Parking lot striping

A dedicated striping site so "parking lot striping Lubbock" has a page that is about nothing else. New layouts, re-striping, ADA compliance, stencils, fire lanes, after-hours work.

3. Seal coating

Shown two ways: as its own site, and as a section of the striping site. The page explains the trade-off so you can pick. Needs your seal coating photos to finish.

One site or three?

Separate sitesOne site, service pages
SearchEach domain is 100% about one thing. Wins the exact-match searches ("lubbock parking lot striping").One domain builds authority faster. Service pages still rank well if they are deep.
CostThree domains, three sites to keep current. One of each.
SalesA property manager searching for striping is not distracted by pressure washing.Cross-sells: someone who came for washing sees striping.
Our takePressure washing and striping as two sites, since they already have separate identities and customers. Seal coating as a page on the striping site until it has its own photos and volume, then split it if it earns it.

Next steps

  1. Go through the questions page. Answer what you can, leave comments on anything else. Every answer lands with us.
  2. Pick a mockup direction for each site. Mixing and matching is fine.
  3. Send us more photos: before and after pairs from the same spot are gold.
  4. We fix the dead DNS record and the broken title tag on the current site right away, no charge, so you stop losing calls while the new site is built.
